From barely being able to squat to competing in his first fitness competition, Dan Fried has come a long way in a short time. I’ve seen Dan show up every day with excitement, ready to learn and eager to improve.

If you were to tell me one year ago that Dan would be where he is today, I wouldn’t have believed you for a second. Walking in with a host of mobility impedients (like many of us have) and lacking self-confidence (like many of us do) I didn’t have an exact time table for getting him “fit”.

What I can say is that he quickly improve. He listened and abided by the program and always asked his Coach for advice. We worked together to go slow, but steady while individualizing the plan for Dan. At times, he was so excited we’d have to reign him in, but now that mentality is completely washed. I think he knows now that when he shows up, stays safe and has fun – he gets better. He knows that if he remains confident he can develop any movement pattern  and improve his skills.

I think Dan’s changed who he is and how he looks at the world. The person I met one year ago was completely different. Working with Dan over this last year has been an absolute blessing. The passion he shows up with every day to workout and stay healthy keeps youthfullness written all over him. Not quite sure if this was the case a year ago. Body composition aside he’s changed tremendously. Who he is and who he’ll continue to be…
