The purpose of the pull from the floor (or drive as I like to call it) to the top of the knee is to help you get in a good position for the second pull (or transition to the second pull). If we do not understand what the top of the knee position is suppose to look like, feel like, or are unable to get in a good position then we are missing the entire lift. Going from the hang is not a different lift then going from the floor. It is simply a tool to  help us understand the position we are trying to get to from the floor. We can move just as much weight from the hang as we can from the floor, so do not be scared to go from the hang. It just may make you better and stronger!
